ISERH HONOURS GOLD 95.5 FM’s INVITATION

The initiative for Sound Education, Relationship & Health (ISERH) was part of the maiden edition of GOLD FM Carrier Talk for in-school students and school leavers, that was held at the station's hall on Tuesday, August 8 2017.

The program organizer - Mrs Adigun Olubunmi featured ISERH Program Director - Mutiu Abimbola Aderanti on her radio program before the commencement of the carrier talk which was held at the Radio Station’s Hall. The program which was graced by important personalities in Osun State: Dr. Sola Agboola - GM Gold FM; Dr. (Mrs.) Ajayi – from OSCOTECH; Farmer Kayode Alabi - Director, Youth Resource Centre (a division of Osun State Youth in Agriculture); Ticketing officer, Unique School of Aviation Travels and Tours, Osogbo; Gold FM staff and over 30 participants, was an epoch-making event.

Dr. Agboola – General Manager of the station officially declared the event opened with a welcoming speech. After which ISERH Director of programs - Mutiu Abimbola Aderanti mounted the podium to deliver the topic "Concept of Self-discovery". He commenced with interactive sessions in ensuring that the participants got the essence of getting to knowing who they are and why it is important for any prospective successful ones to listen to their inner mind for self-actualization. He drew inferences from his personal experience and notable men in the society to buttress his points. HE charged them to be pragmatic in their approach to life, ensuring that their chosen profession is not to satisfy their parents’ wish or friends influence, rather it should be their passion-turned-profession. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajayi spoke on choosing carrier while she emphasized on the need to choose rightly so as to live a fulfilled life. She added that no profession is inferior to the other. Farmer Alabi discussed on choosing farming as a profession. He aggressively delivered his points to the participants towards making them understand the need to join the moving train of agriculture sector, as the solution to the economic recession bewildering our nation. He charged them to see beyond the present and be part of agricultural revolution.

The program followed by questions and answers session which was well handed by the speakers - as the participants expressed their satisfaction through claps and standing ovation. Mr. Oladapo Ojo, Program Director - Gold FM, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm about the success of the program, and encouraged the participants to see it as a life-time opportunity. He further stated the stations’ commitment to partner with relevant stakeholders to support youth’s attainment of their set down goals. 

The program convener, Mrs Adigun Olubunmi, congratulated the participants for being part of the epoch-making event. She reaffirmed the need for them to get motivated and inspired by speeches delivered, while promising the elaboration of subsequent programs - towards youth self-discovery. She appreciated the speakers as well as those that supported the actualization of the event.
