Resuscitation of Peer Educators Club (PET) of Ogedengbe School of Science, Ilesa, Osun State

Friday, 4th of March, 2016 was a remarkable day for the Initiative for Sound Education, Relationship & Health (ISERH) as one of its Ambassadors, ISERH Ambassador Timilehin Daniel who happened to be a past President of PET Club of his School (Ogendengbe School of Science, Ilesa) made a move to resuscitate the dying Club consequent to mentorship he has been exposed to since he emerged as an Ambassador of the Organization.

ISERH Ambassador Timilehin Daniel invited all the Club Members of his set (2013) and the sets that came after him (2014 and 2015) to actively participate in the reform, reorientation and induction of the intending students of the school into the PET Club.

Mr. Abdulahi Abayomi Abdulraheem, the Founder/Executive Director of ISERH spoke on the importance of being a PET and as well as the opportunities that abound in the future for every PET. He as well challenged the past PET Members who are now in various Higher Institutions of Learning to advance in the course of Social Change. He challenged them not to ever allow their zeal of addressing Social Challenges die in them, consequent to their graduation from the school.

The Director of Youth Advantage Initiative was also there to speak on the power of change endowed on youths to effect change on their community. He stressed the reasons why he is still waxing stronger in making sure that he reaches out to the youths of his community to ensure a positive attitudinal and behavioural change.

The Principal of the School, Mr. Adebayo, could not adequately express his joy for seeing this happening in his school. He showered encomium on ISERH Amb. Timilehin Daniel, his Colleagues and other Members of the PET Club, for making this a reality in his times as the Administrator of the School. He thereafter pleaded with the Executive Director of ISERH to kindly come back to the school with the motive of encouraging the School’s Students towards Academic Excellence and towards avoiding registering their SSCE/UTME with the branded Examination Malpractices Enhancement Center christened EDUCATION CONSULTS.

About three (3) Students were recognized for their meritorious services since they joined the School’s PET. We say congratulations to them and enjoin them to keep up with the good works. We wish you all the best.

As we congratulate our Ambassador, ISERH Amb. Timilehin Daniel, and his colleagues for this wonderful move, we as well congratulate the Principal of the school for upholding the standard of the school.

At ISERH, we shall neither relent nor relax, until the State Education is back on track of Academic Excellence.
